Carnival Paradise 4-Day Western Caribbean Cruise Review

The Carnival Paradise is a cruise ship owned and operated by Carnival Cruise Line. It was built in 1998 and has a capacity of around 2,056 passengers. The ship is around 855 ft long and 106 ft wide. The ship features various amenities such as multiple dining options, a spa, a fitness center, and several lounges and bars. It also offers several entertainment options like a theater, a casino, and a digital workshop.

The Carnival Paradise typically sails to destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, and the Bahamas. The ship is known for its fun and casual atmosphere and offers a wide range of activities and entertainment options for guests of all ages, including a water park, mini-golf course, and a variety of bars and lounges. It also offers “Carnival’s Cloud 9 Spa” with various treatments and an adult-only area.

Itinerary:

Tampa, FL:  The Tampa Bay cruise port, also known as the Port of Tampa, is a major cruise terminal located in the city of Tampa, Florida. It is one of the busiest and most popular cruise ports in the world, serving as a departure point for a variety of Caribbean and other international cruise itineraries.

The Port of Tampa features several modern and well-equipped terminals, offering a range of amenities and services for passengers, including check-in and baggage handling, duty-free shopping, dining options, and transportation to and from the port. In addition to its cruise facilities, the port is also a hub for cargo and trade, with a large container terminal and a variety of other shipping and logistics services.

The city of Tampa itself is a vibrant and diverse destination, offering a range of attractions and activities for visitors. From the historic Ybor City neighborhood and the cultural offerings of the Tampa Museum of Art and the Florida Aquarium to the natural beauty of the nearby beaches and parks, there is something for everyone in and around the Port of Tampa.

Cozumel, Mexico:  Cozumel is a Caribbean island in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, located off the northeastern coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. It is the largest island in the Mexican Caribbean and is a popular destination for tourists, particularly for scuba diving and snorkeling.

The island has a rich history and was once a center of Mayan civilization. Today, it is known for its beautiful beaches, clear turquoise waters, and diverse marine life, including colorful tropical fish and vibrant coral reefs.

In addition to its natural beauty, Cozumel also offers a variety of activities and attractions, including shopping, dining, and nightlife in its bustling main town of San Miguel. Visitors can also take part in outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and kayaking, or explore the island’s cultural heritage at sites like the San Gervasio Mayan Ruins.

The island has a warm, tropical climate year-round, with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to the mid-80s Fahrenheit.

Carnival Paradise Accommodations:

For this cruise, I was in Stateroom E19 an Oceanview Stateroom.  An oceanview stateroom on the Carnival Paradise is a comfortable and well-appointed accommodation option. Located on the middle or upper decks of the ship, these staterooms offer breathtaking views of the ocean and the surrounding coastline.

The oceanview staterooms feature a large picture window or porthole, providing plenty of natural light and panoramic views of the sea. The staterooms themselves are cozy and inviting, with a comfortable bed, a sitting area, a TV, and a private bathroom with a shower.

In terms of size, the oceanview staterooms on the Carnival Paradise are compact but efficient, offering a comfortable and convenient place to sleep and relax during your cruise. They are also located in convenient areas of the ship, close to popular amenities and attractions, such as pools, dining venues, and entertainment options.
