Princess Cruises Drink Package Calculator

Is a Princess Cruises drink package really worth it?

If you’re planning a Princess cruise, you may be wondering whether one of the line’s drink packages will save you money or simply add another expense to your vacation. With alcoholic packages, zero-proof options and drinks also included with Princess Plus and Princess Premier, figuring out which choice offers the best value can get confusing.

Use our free Princess Cruises Drink Package Calculator below to compare the cost of a package against paying for each drink individually. Enter what you typically drink during an average cruise day and the calculator will show whether buying a package makes financial sense for your upcoming sailing.

Keep in mind that Princess Plus and Princess Premier are more than drink packages. They bundle beverages with additional benefits such as Wi-Fi, crew appreciation, dining and other extras. This calculator focuses specifically on the beverage portion so you can get a better idea of how much value you may receive from the drinks themselves.

Select Cruise Line & Drink Package
Price includes the cruise line's automatic gratuity (rate shown in Step 2 below)
Drink package prices are based on current pre-cruise rates and include the automatic gratuity noted in Step 2 below. Some cruise lines, like Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Margaritaville at Sea, offer occasional deep discounts on beverage packages. These discounts would not be reflected in the calculation, so we suggest checking for specials and promotions for additional savings. Cunard's rates vary by cruise length; the price shown reflects a typical 7-14 night sailing and may run higher on shorter cruises or lower on world cruises. Prices for UK-based lines (Ambassador, Marella, P&O Cruises) are shown in British pounds (£), their actual billing currency.

Automatic Gratuity Rate
Gratuity Rate: --%
This gratuity rate is set by the cruise line. It is included in the package price calculations below but will be added to "Pay As You Go" purchases in the comparison. Onboard, this is the minimum amount you will see as an automatic gratuity on your individual bar checks.

A Note About Drink Packages
When you buy an alcoholic drink package, cruise lines require that all adults in the same stateroom purchase one. If two adults share a cabin and only one wants the package, both must still buy it.
