Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas 8-Day Bahamas Cruise Review

Quantum of the Seas is a cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International. It was launched in November 2014 and is the first ship in the Quantum class. The ship is 348 meters long, 41 meters wide, and has a gross tonnage of 168,666. It can accommodate up to 4,180 guests and 1,500 crew members.

The ship has many unique features and amenities, including the North Star, a glass capsule that rises 300 feet above sea level, giving guests a 360-degree view of their surroundings. The ship also has Ripcord by iFly, a skydiving simulator that allows guests to experience the thrill of skydiving without ever leaving the ship. The Bionic Bar is another unique feature, where guests can order custom cocktails from robots.

Two70 is a multi-level entertainment venue that features floor-to-ceiling windows, digital screens, and aerial performers. SeaPlex is a multi-use sports and entertainment complex that features a full-size basketball court, bumper cars, roller skating, and more.

The ship is powered by four Wartsila diesel-electric engines that can produce up to 77,910 horsepower. It has a maximum speed of 22 knots and is equipped with stabilizers to reduce the effects of rough seas. The ship also has advanced environmental technologies, including an exhaust gas scrubber system that reduces emissions and a ballast water treatment system that helps protect the marine environment.

Overall, Quantum of the Seas is a cutting-edge cruise ship that offers guests a wide range of unique experiences and amenities while also incorporating advanced technologies to minimize its impact on the environment.

The Cape Liberty Cruise Port is conveniently located near major highways and airports, making it easily accessible to travelers from throughout the Northeastern United States. The terminal itself offers a range of amenities, including parking, shuttle service, and luggage handling.

Port Canaveral (FL):  Port Canaveral is a deepwater seaport located on the east coast of Florida, in the city of Cape Canaveral. It is one of the busiest cruise ports in the world, with millions of passengers passing through each year on their way to destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, and beyond.

In addition to cruise ships, Port Canaveral is also a hub for cargo and commercial vessels, with a number of major shipping companies operating out of the port. The port is connected to major highways, making it easily accessible for both passengers and cargo.
