Carnival Cruise Line has officially opened its newly redesigned and expanded Terminal F at PortMiami with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that was attended by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Miami-Dade County Commissioners, and Carnival Corp. & plc CEO Josh Weinstein. The ceremony marked the arrival of Carnival Celebration, which is now one of five ships homeported at PortMiami.
The new terminal features a clean and open design that enhances efficiency and flexibility for the cruise line’s newest ships. The terminal also integrates technology to ensure that guests have a smooth and seamless boarding experience. The three levels of the terminal offer digital media experiences, including an immersive tunnel that showcases images of ships, destinations, underwater seascapes, and the nighttime sky.
To mark the occasion, Carnival CEO Christine Duffy announced a $25,000 donation from the cruise line to the Miami Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in honor of the Miami-Dade leadership. The donation will support medical and health services for over 6,000 women veterans in Miami-Dade.
Carnival expects to embark more than 20,000 guests per week from PortMiami, making Terminal F a crucial addition to the company’s operations. With its new design, cutting-edge technology, and focus on guest experience, Terminal F is set to provide guests with a memorable start to their Carnival cruise experience.
