Florida’s 2026/27 winter cruise season is already getting started, which means ships are returning, itineraries are plentiful, and PortMiami is preparing to test everyone’s patience all over again.
The good news is that you don’t have to fly halfway around the world to find a cruise. Between Miami, Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, and Port Canaveral, Florida offers an impressive range of Caribbean sailings this season. If you’re still sorting out which port even makes sense for you, my guide to all six Florida cruise ports is a good place to start.
There are enormous ships packed with waterslides and attractions, smaller ships built around longer itineraries, adults-only options, Disney vacations, traditional cruise lines, and luxury yachts with fares that may require a second mortgage.
This guide covers ships sailing from the three major Florida cruise ports during the 2026/27 winter season, roughly October 2026 through April 2027. Bahamas sailings are included because, technically Caribbean or not, they’re very much part of Florida’s winter cruise lineup. Not every ship listed will sail from its port for the entire season. Some appear only for selected dates, holiday cruises, early-season deployments, or repositioning voyages.
Ships Sailing from Miami
Miami has the broadest and most varied lineup of Florida’s three major cruise ports. You’ll find everything from short Bahamas getaways to longer Southern Caribbean itineraries, along with family ships, adults-only cruises, traditional cruise lines, and luxury yachts.

Carnival Celebration, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Horizon, Carnival Magic, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Firenze
Carnival Firenze joins the Miami lineup in February 2027.
Celebrity Xcel
Celebrity Beyond has early-season Miami departures before moving to Fort Lauderdale.
Queen Elizabeth
Zuiderdam
Beachcomber
Scheduled to begin sailing from Miami on January 9, 2027, before moving to Galveston in October 2027.
MSC World America, MSC Seaside, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Poesia
Norwegian Aqua, Norwegian Luna, Norwegian Jewel, Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Sun
Norwegian Getaway also has early-season Miami departures.
Icon of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Wonder of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, Independence of the Seas
Brilliant Lady, Resilient Lady, Scarlet Lady
Miami’s Royal Caribbean lineup includes everything from the enormous Icon of the Seas and Wonder of the Seas to the more traditional Freedom of the Seas and Independence of the Seas. MSC also has a strong presence this season with MSC World America, MSC Seaside, MSC Meraviglia, and MSC Poesia. Norwegian is bringing Norwegian Aqua back for another winter, and Celebrity’s newest ship, Celebrity Xcel, is in the mix too.
Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth offers something considerably different from the megaship crowd. The ship brings a more traditional, formal style of cruising to Miami, with a very different onboard atmosphere from Carnival, Royal Caribbean, or MSC. If you want to know what that actually looks like, I sailed her last year and wrote up every day, starting with Day 1.
Holland America’s Zuiderdam also belongs on the Miami list this season. It gives Holland America fans another option beyond the line’s much larger Fort Lauderdale presence, and she’s in line for the line’s Evolution makeover. Virgin Voyages is also back with three ships, and if you want a feel for the adults-only experience, here’s my Brilliant Lady review.
Luxury Ships and Yachts Sailing from Miami
Miami is also home to a rotating selection of luxury ships, yachts, and smaller vessels. These ships don’t necessarily operate weekly round-trip Caribbean cruises from Miami, but they’re part of the Caribbean season, and the sailings can be very different from the regular seven-night cruises most people associate with Miami. Some are one-way voyages, while others combine the Caribbean with the Panama Canal, the Amazon, Central America, or South America. I spent time on Explora Journeys last winter if you want a closer look at that style of cruising, starting with Day 1.

EXPLORA I, EXPLORA III
Allura, Marina, Vista, Insignia
Seven Seas Grandeur, Seven Seas Splendor, Seven Seas Mariner, Seven Seas Prestige
Seabourn Ovation, Seabourn Quest
Silver Shadow, Silver Ray
Ilma
Emerald Sakara
Four Seasons I
Ships Sailing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale
Port Everglades is for cruisers who prefer Holland America, Princess, Celebrity, or longer and more traditional itineraries. That doesn’t mean Fort Lauderdale doesn’t welcome some of the big ships. Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas and Legend of the Seas are both part of the season’s lineup.

Celebrity Ascent, Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Reflection, Celebrity Silhouette
Disney Destiny, Disney Dream
Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Nieuw Statendam, Rotterdam
Volendam
A special 14-day Caribbean holiday cruise departs December 22, 2026 which I will be sailing on.
Caribbean Princess, Coral Princess, Enchanted Princess, Regal Princess, Star Princess, Sun Princess
Adventure of the Seas, Brilliance of the Seas, Legend of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas
Crystal Symphony, Crystal Serenity
Viking Mars
Ships Sailing from Port Canaveral
Port Canaveral’s lineup makes a strong case for driving north instead of diving head first into Miami traffic. Disney is still a major part of the port’s identity, but Port Canaveral now offers mouse-free alternatives from Carnival, Royal Caribbean, MSC, Norwegian, Celebrity, and Princess.
Royal Caribbean in particular has made the port a priority, with Star of the Seas and Utopia of the Seas both sailing from here. Celebrity is a relative newcomer, since it only recently sailed from the port for the first time.

Mardi Gras, Carnival Vista, Carnival Venezia, Carnival Freedom, Carnival Glory
Celebrity Apex
Disney Wish, Disney Fantasy, Disney Treasure
Disney Dream also has selected departures later in April 2027.
MSC Seashore, MSC Grandiosa
Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Getaway
Sky Princess
Star of the Seas, Utopia of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas
Which of the Big 3 Florida Ports Has the Best Caribbean Cruise Lineup?
Port Canaveral is the obvious choice for Disney fans, but it also has an increasingly strong selection from Carnival, Royal Caribbean, MSC, Norwegian, Celebrity, and Princess.
For me, the itinerary matters more than the ship. A Southern Caribbean route with Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao will always get my attention. Your priorities may be completely different. Maybe you want the newest ship, the best children’s programming, an adults-only experience, a formal atmosphere, or simply the shortest drive to the port.
The important thing is to check the actual departure port and sailing date before booking. Ships move, seasonal deployments change, and a familiar ship name can show up somewhere completely different a few months later. “I sailed from Miami last time” does not mean that same ship is still sailing from Miami, and seeing your ship from the Uber doesn’t mean you’ll be stepping onboard in five minutes.
My own winter season begins with Carnival Magic on October 17, followed by Queen Elizabeth and then a stretch with Holland America through the holidays. If you’re sailing from Florida this winter, there’s a decent chance I’ll be somewhere out there with you. Hopefully enjoying the view from the ship instead of the view of brake lights on the way to it.
