Virgin Voyages Brilliant Lady Deck 6 and Casino Tour
Virgin Voyages Brilliant Lady Deck 6 tour with Extra Virgin, Test Kitchen, the Roundabout, On the Rocks, the shops and a walk through the small casino.
Key Takeaways
- You can do all of your souvenir shopping on Deck 6, and you can even get a tattoo at Squid Ink.
- Extra Virgin is the Italian restaurant, with a bar where you can have cocktails or dinner, which is great if you’re traveling solo like me. I had two great dinners there.
- Test Kitchen does cooking demonstrations and lessons during the day, and at night it turns into a tasting menu dinner with three different menus that rotate.
- The Roundabout is kind of like the ship’s atrium, and it’s where a lot of the Scarlet Night action happens.
- On the Rocks is the bar in the Roundabout, with lounge areas and live music in the evening.
- The Booty Free store has liquor and tobacco, and the Virgin store has branded merch, ship models, t shirts, sweatshirts and jackets.
- The casino has a bar, American and European roulette, three card poker, and a good number of blackjack tables.
- The casino is smokefree, but there’s a smoking room in a little corridor behind the cage with some machines in it.
Good to Know
The casino on Brilliant Lady is pretty small, but if you’re a blackjack player you’ve got plenty of tables to choose from. Keep in mind the slots can get swapped out pretty quickly, so a game you see here might not be there on your cruise. Those Phoenix Link machines were not good to me at all.
Honestly, I found the Roundabout to be a gigantic waste of space. The massive spiral staircase in the center encloses the area and makes it feel dark. On my sailing, though, it’s where they held the loyalty reception because it was gloomy and rainy outside where they’d normally have it.
Unless you really want to smoke inside, skip the smoking room. Every time I walked through, nobody was in there, and it’s probably the most depressing room on the ship. The Red Room, the ship’s main theater, is right outside.
