Come along with me for a tour of stateroom 7210 on Norwegian Sky. This is a solo oceanview room with a porthole, and since the ship was built in 1999, I’ll show you where it shines and where it’s lacking, from the bed and the power situation to the closets and the bathroom.

Key Takeaways

  • This cabin is reserved for people traveling solo, and NCL has a lot of solo cabins on their ships.
  • The bed is actually two twins pushed together, with a nightlight and a little storage spot on each side.
  • There’s one USB port under the nightlight switch on each side of the bed.
  • Power is limited: just one European and one American outlet at the desk, and no USB ports there at all. Bring a power brick.
  • There’s a mini fridge with water in it, but the water is for sale. You also get a TV, a mirror and a loveseat that pulls out into a twin bed.
  • Storage includes one big closet with two doors, a safe, a hair dryer, drawers, and a second full size closet with a peekaboo mirror.
  • You don’t need your key card to turn on the power in this room. There’s a holder for it and an old school thermostat.
  • The bathroom is small, with towel racks, some storage, an outlet that’s only for shavers, and a shower with a curtain.

Good to Know

If you travel with a lot of gadgets, plan ahead. With only two outlets at the desk and the USB ports by the bed, a power brick will make your life a lot easier in this room.

Since it’s an older ship, things are a little more basic. The shower has a curtain instead of a door, and the bathroom is on the tiny side, but for a solo traveler it gets the job done.

The good news is you get plenty of storage for one person, with two closets and drawers, plus a porthole so you can see outside.
