This one is Royal Caribbean’s own video, shared here with their permission, showing off The Perfect Storm on Harmony of the Seas. It’s a trio of water slides that launch from the top of the ship overlooking Central Park, twist through the circuit and finish down on the pool deck. Members of the Royal Caribbean team talk about why they’re so excited about it.

Key Takeaways

  • The Perfect Storm is three water slides that start at the top of the ship, overlooking Central Park, and end up on the pool deck.
  • On the starboard side you’ll find the Champagne Bowl, named that way because it spins you around.
  • On the other side are two racing slides, so you can go head to head with a friend down several decks.
  • The team says the view from the top of The Perfect Storm is the best view on the ship.
  • Even if you don’t ride, the slides are colorful and fun to look at from the pool area.
  • In the video, the team says water slides were something new for them, which made Harmony’s open decks a big deal.

Good to Know

Half the fun is the walk up the stairs to the top, since that’s where you get the great view over the ship. If you’re on the fence about riding, it’s still worth climbing up for the view.

The pitch here is that Harmony has so much on the open decks that you don’t have to stay cooped up in your room on a hot day. There’s something for everybody, and the slides are a big part of that on a sea day.

Keep in mind this video is from early 2017, so it shows the slides as they were when Harmony was new.
