The new Margaritaville at Sea Casino Players Club officially rolled out on October 1, 2026, so this guide now covers the new program from top to bottom. Margaritaville at Sea has relaunched its Players Club with what it calls “the best casino loyalty program at sea.” The Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum names are still here, but the way you earn status, the way points work and the list of perks have all changed. Whether you’re a slot regular or a blackjack player, here’s everything you need to know before your next sailing.
What Changed on October 1, 2026
If you followed the program that ran from May 2025 through September 30, 2026, here’s what’s different:
Gold is harder to reach now, while Platinum needs 10,000 fewer points than before. The new program also doesn’t list any single day qualification thresholds, so the old shortcut of earning a tier in one big day at the casino isn’t part of the published rules anymore.
How You Earn: Tier Points vs. Reward Points
This is the biggest change to wrap your head around. The new program tracks two separate things:
- Tier Points determine your status (Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum). Promotional, bonus, manually adjusted and complimentary points don’t count toward your tier.
- Reward Points are the ones you spend. You can redeem them for Free Play and other eligible rewards.
Both come from rated casino play, and you can only earn on play that’s properly recorded. On slots, that means inserting your Players Club card every time you sit down. At table games, hand your card to the dealer or floor staff and make sure they get you rated. If your play isn’t tracked, it doesn’t count, and Margaritaville isn’t going to go back and fix it for you.
Table game ratings are estimates based on the game you play, your average wager, how long you play and other factors in the casino’s rating system. Their records are the official record, so if you’re curious where you stand, ask a casino host.
What we don’t have yet is the actual earning formula. The old math was one point for every $5 of slot coin in, but Margaritaville’s terms now say earning methods, rates and games can vary and change at any time. I wouldn’t assume that old formula carries over to Tier Points or Reward Points until it’s confirmed. Your best bet is to ask casino staff onboard or check the official Players Club page.
The Tier Year
The annual Tier Earning Period runs from October 1 through September 30. Everyone’s Tier Points reset to zero when a new period begins. You can move up a tier during the year once you hit the threshold and it’s verified.
The 90 Day Rule for Reward Points
Reward Points expire 90 days after the day you earn them, and playing more doesn’t extend the clock on points you already have. Expired points disappear automatically. Tier Points are different since they follow the Tier Earning Period instead. My advice is simple: use your Reward Points, don’t sit on them.
The Four Tiers and What You Get
Every member gets the basics starting at Bronze, which is free to join:
- Redeem Reward Points for Free Play
- Free Play offers
- Complimentary drinks while you’re playing
- Complimentary or discounted cruise offers
- Exclusive casino promotions and events
- A birthday surprise
Free Play offers, cruise offers and promotions are all based on your rated casino play and handed out at Margaritaville at Sea’s discretion. Reaching a tier doesn’t guarantee you’ll get a free or discounted cruise offer or an invitation to an event.

The official chart’s headline numbers say “up to $100” and “up to 2 Bingo cards,” but the detailed benefit descriptions break it down by tier, which is what I’ve shown above. Credits can also run higher than the stated tier amount based on your rated play, at Margaritaville’s discretion.
Margaritaville at Sea Casino Perks Explained
Drinks and Packages
- Drinks while you play: You’ll need to be actively playing a slot machine or table game, and drinks have to be ordered through a casino beverage server. There’s a maximum value of $20 per beverage.
- Unlimited Soda Package (Silver): Covers you and one guest in the same stateroom for the whole sailing.
- Ultimate Beverage Chill Package (Gold and Platinum): Also covers you and one guest in your stateroom. It’s capped at 15 beverages per person per day, and alcohol, Red Bull and Gatorade all count toward that limit. Sodas are included.
Dining
- Specialty Dining (Gold): One complimentary dining experience for you and one guest at your choice of JWB Prime Steakhouse, Far Side Sushi or Sparkling Brunch, subject to availability.
- Prime Dining Package (Platinum): One complimentary dining experience at each eligible specialty restaurant, including JWB Prime Steakhouse, Far Side Sushi and Sparkling Brunch, plus the Suite Exclusive Dinner Menu in the main dining rooms. It covers you and one guest.
Credits
- Arcade, shore excursion and spa credits: $25 at Silver, $50 at Gold and $100 at Platinum, per sailing.
- Spa timing: Silver and Gold members can only use spa credit on port days, or at the spa’s discretion. Platinum members can use it any time during the sailing, subject to availability.
- Bingo: Pick up your cards at the Casino Cage and use them during that sailing.
Cruise Perks
- Complimentary cruise fare (Silver and up): You and up to three guests staying in the same stateroom can sail with complimentary fare. Taxes, fees, gratuities and other charges may still apply.
- Sail with Friends (Platinum): One additional complimentary stateroom, up to an Oceanview cabin, for up to two guests on the same cruise. Taxes, fees and gratuities may apply, and it’s subject to availability.
- Birthday surprise: You’ll get it on sailings departing within 30 days before or after your birthday, but you have to tell them it’s your birthday when you book.
VIP Touches
- VIP check in and disembarkation (Gold and Platinum): Where available.
- Priority theater seating (Gold and Platinum): Show your tier card to the theater attendant.
- Stateroom welcome gift (Gold and Platinum): It might be water, soda, wine, champagne, liquor, cake, fruit or something else, and it varies by player, sailing and availability.
- Wi-Fi: Gold gets the Basic package (messaging, web browsing, social media and audio calling). Platinum gets Premium, which adds supported video and music streaming.
- Personal VIP host (Platinum): Help with cruise bookings, onboard reservations and casino requests.
- Annual Platinum Players Dinner and Event (Platinum): An invitation to a Platinum only sailing or event, which may include a gift, a VIP dinner and exclusive promotions.
- Laundry and room service (Platinum): Both cover you and one guest in your stateroom, with service limitations and menu restrictions.
Fine Print Worth Knowing
- Tiering up mid cruise: Your status can update during a sailing, but some benefits from the new tier may not start until your next sailing. If you hit Platinum halfway through a trip, don’t expect every perk right away.
- Benefits aren’t guaranteed: Every tier benefit is subject to availability, capacity, venue hours and operational limits, and Margaritaville can swap in a comparable benefit if needed. Perks can also vary by ship and sailing.
- Package perks cover two people: Drinks, dining, laundry and room service benefits are for you plus one guest in the same stateroom.
- It’s a one person program: You must be 18 or older, legally allowed to gamble and ready to show government issued photo ID. Each person can have only one account, and you can’t share or lend your card to anyone.
- Points have no cash value: Reward Points, Tier Points, status and rewards can’t be transferred, sold or traded, and they don’t pass to your estate if you die.
- Accounts can be adjusted: Margaritaville can correct or reverse points and status after errors, fraud, duplicate accounts, card sharing or improperly recorded play.
- Rules can change: The terms say the program, earning rates, tiers, benefits and expiration rules can all be modified, and changes can affect points you’ve already earned.
Status Match
Have status at another casino or cruise line, or a casino offer from somewhere else? Margaritaville has a Players Club Status Match form where you can submit it. According to Margaritaville, matches can lead to things like free or discounted cabins and VIP tier upgrades, so it’s worth doing before you book.
How to Get Started
You can join the Players Club email list online here to get news and offers. To actually enroll and get your Players Club card, stop by the Casino Host desk onboard with a valid government issued photo ID. Once you’re in, start using your card right away since every rated minute counts.
