Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas has taken a significant step toward its highly anticipated debut in January 2024. The world’s best family vacation experience has reached its next major construction milestone at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland. The first Icon Class ship was floated out of the dry dock. This is a significant achievement after eight months of construction.
The float-out process involved filling the ship’s dry dock with water overnight, followed by the movement of Icon to an outfitting dock. The outfitting dock will be Icon’s home for the next year as construction continues until completion.
