Regent Seven Seas Fleet Guide 2026
Regent Seven Seas has one of the smallest fleets in luxury cruising, but the ships are more different than you’d expect. This Regent Seven Seas Fleet Guide is updated for October 2026 and covers all six Regent ships currently carrying guests, plus the brand new Seven Seas Prestige and the three Prestige-class sisters on order behind her.
The fleet breaks down into three groups. Seven Seas Navigator, Mariner and Voyager are the original Regent ships, built between 1999 and 2003, with Navigator carrying just 490 guests and Mariner going down in history as the world’s first all-suite, all-balcony ship. Mariner and Voyager both finished big refits in late 2025 and spring 2026. The three Explorer-class ships, Seven Seas Explorer, Splendor and Grandeur, carry about 750 guests each and are known for their marble, chandeliers and huge art collections.
The biggest change is coming in December 2026, when Seven Seas Prestige debuts as the first ship in Regent’s new Prestige class. She’s about 40% larger than the Explorer-class ships but carries only 822 guests, and more Prestige-class ships are planned for 2030, 2033 and 2036. On the way out, Seven Seas Navigator is set to leave the fleet and become the residential ship Avora Lumina in January 2028.
For each ship, you’ll find gross tonnage, guest capacity, crew size, length and the year she entered service, along with refurbishments, upcoming dry docks and a few notable moments from her history.

Explorer Class
Regent Seven Seas Grandeur
Launched 2023Explorer Class · Worldwide
Seven Seas Grandeur is the newest of Regent's three Explorer-class ships and currently the top-rated ship in the fleet. She has the same lavish layout as Explorer and Splendor, plus touches of her own like the first Fabergé egg on permanent display at sea.
Her regulars rave about the service and keep coming back, and she does everything from Scandinavia and Iceland to the Panama Canal. A few longtime Regent guests felt the line is trimming extras, but the ship itself gets almost universal praise.
Notable History & Dry Dock Updates
Grandeur was built by Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy, and sailed her maiden voyage from Trieste to Barcelona on November 18, 2023, before crossing to Miami for her first Caribbean season. Sarah Fabergé is her godmother. She's scheduled for an October 2028 dry dock that will bring the same suite expansion planned for Explorer and Splendor.
Regent Seven Seas Splendor
Launched 2020Explorer Class · Worldwide
Seven Seas Splendor is Explorer's sister, with the same marble, chandeliers and art-filled public spaces, and she drew more recent reviews than any other Regent ship. She sails from the Mediterranean and Greek Isles to Canada, New England and Antarctica.
Most guests come away delighted, but she also drew some of the sharpest complaints about Regent cutting costs on food and entertainment. She'll be the first Explorer-class ship to get the big suite makeover, in November 2027.
Notable History & Dry Dock Updates
Splendor was built by Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy, and sailed her maiden voyage from Barcelona to Miami on February 6, 2020. Christie Brinkley christened her at PortMiami on February 21, 2020, shortly before the pandemic pause. She's scheduled to be the first Explorer-class ship refurbished, in a November 2027 dry dock that will reduce her suite count and enlarge her Veranda Suites.
Regent Seven Seas Explorer
Launched 2016Explorer Class · Worldwide
Seven Seas Explorer is the ship that redefined Regent in 2016, with marble everywhere, a huge art collection and the over-the-top Regent Suite. She carries 750 guests and splits her time between Alaska, Asia and Europe.
She's still a beautiful ship, but she's no longer the newest, and a few reviewers noticed small signs of wear. She's due for a major refit in April 2028 that will enlarge her standard suites and add a new penthouse category.
Notable History & Dry Dock Updates
Explorer was built by Fincantieri at Sestri Ponente in Genoa and delivered on June 30, 2016. Princess Charlene of Monaco christened her in Monte Carlo on July 13, 2016, and her maiden voyage sailed from Monte Carlo to Venice on July 20. Regent has scheduled a dry dock for April 2028 that will cut her suite count from 373 to 344, enlarging the Veranda Suites and adding Horizon Penthouse Suites.
Mariner Class
Regent Seven Seas Mariner
Launched 2001Mariner Class · Worldwide
Seven Seas Mariner made history in 2001 as the world's first all-suite, all-balcony cruise ship, and she's still a favorite with Regent loyalists who like her mid-size feel. She carries 700 guests and often handles Regent's longest voyages, including the World Cruise.
She spent most of November 2025 in dry dock getting new suite furnishings, redesigned marble bathrooms and a new Pool Grill with a wood-fired pizzeria. Reviewers on her first sailings after the refit noticed the upgrades, even if a few rough edges were still being worked out.
Notable History & Dry Dock Updates
Mariner was built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France, and entered service in 2001 as the first all-suite, all-balcony ship at sea. She completed a refit in Marseille from November 3 to 26, 2025, that updated her suites with new furnishings and lighting, redesigned the marble bathrooms in most suite categories, replaced carpeting throughout and added a wood-fired pizzeria to the Pool Grill.
Navigator Class
Prestige Class
Regent Seven Seas Prestige
Prestige Class · Worldwide
Seven Seas Prestige is Regent's first new ship class in a decade, and she's big news for the line. At about 76,550 tons she's roughly 40% larger than the Explorer-class ships, but she carries only 822 guests, so there's even more space per person.
Her signature feature is the Skyview Regent Suite, which Regent calls the largest suite on any all-inclusive luxury ship. Her first season includes Europe, the Caribbean, two transatlantic crossings and two Panama Canal transits.
Notable History & Dry Dock Updates
Prestige was built by Fincantieri in Marghera, Italy, where she floated out on November 27, 2025. She's scheduled to debut in December 2026, with her inaugural season of 13 voyages of 10 to 15 nights across Europe and the Caribbean.

Voyager Class
Regent Seven Seas Voyager
Launched 2003Voyager Class · Worldwide
Seven Seas Voyager is Regent's long-time workhorse, a 700-guest ship that has carried guests everywhere from the Mediterranean to West Africa. She's slightly smaller than Mariner, and her fans like that she still feels like a classic Regent ship.
She came out of a spring 2026 refit with new suite decor, redesigned bathrooms and a refreshed Pool Grill. Reviewers who sailed her before the work called her tired, while guests on her summer 2026 sailings were much happier with how she looks.
Notable History & Dry Dock Updates
