Do you remember the year 1998? That was when Disney Cruise Line first set sail, introducing a new kind of vacation where families could experience Disney storytelling, entertainment, and hospitality at sea. Fast forward to 2023, and the cruise line is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a magical event called the “Silver Anniversary at Sea.”
From May through September of 2023, guests aboard all five Disney Cruise Line ships will be treated to limited-time enhancements, special entertainment, whimsical merchandise, and other delightful surprises that celebrate the cruise line’s anniversary. And the icing on the cake? Captain Minnie Mouse and Captain Mickey Mouse will wear specially coordinated outfits to mark the occasion.
Disney Cruise Line has even created a signature song for the celebration, which will be featured throughout the voyage. It’s a tune that perfectly captures the nostalgic memories of past vacations and the excitement of new adventures to come.
If you’re a returning guest, Disney Cruise Line is also introducing a new membership tier for the Castaway Club. The new Pearl status recognizes guests who have taken 25 Disney cruises and will come with exclusive benefits that will be announced in early 2023.
Of course, the cruises themselves are also enchanting. The Disney Magic will sail to the Bahamas and the Caribbean from Miami, while the Disney Wonder will journey to Alaska from Vancouver. The Disney Dream will offer transatlantic and European itineraries, including stops in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and the Greek Isles. And the Disney Fantasy will sail to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral, with a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
Last but not least, the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Wish, will sail to Nassau, Bahamas and Castaway Cay from Port Canaveral.
