Celebrity Cruises has had a remarkable year, leading the industry out of the pandemic with Celebrity Edge, the first ship to sail from a U.S. port in 2021, and launching the second Edge Series ship, Celebrity Apex, in November of the same year. The cruise line also revealed details about the highly-anticipated third ship in the series, Celebrity Beyond, which is due in late April of 2022.

According to Richard Fain, Chairman and CEO of the Royal Caribbean Group, the parent company of Celebrity Cruises, “Celebrity Ascent will take the industry to new heights as it pushes the boundaries of what people can experience on a ship and how they experience it.” This new ship will be a sister ship to Celebrity Beyond in every way and more.

“This is a momentous occasion and a new milestone in the long success story we have with Celebrity Cruises and the Royal Caribbean Group,” said Laurent Castaing, General Manager, Chantiers de l’Atlantique. Celebrity Cruises has been on the forefront of pushing the industry forward, and the Chantiers de l’Atlantique is proud to partner and collaborate with them in bringing Celebrity Ascent to life.

Expected to make her debut in early 2023, Celebrity Ascent promises to be a true game-changer in the cruising industry. Stay tuned for more exciting updates from Celebrity Cruises.
