Virgin Voyages Fleet Guide 2026

The Virgin Voyages fleet might be the easiest in the industry to memorize. There are four ships, they’re all Lady Class, and they’re all the same 110,000 tons with room for about 2,770 adults. There are no kids on any of them, no main dining room, no buffet, and specialty dining is included on every one. On paper, picking a Virgin ship is about as hard as picking a hotel room on the same floor.

In practice, they don’t sail the same. Scarlet Lady is the original and still runs most of the short Miami getaways, with a 2024 refit that added suites her sisters don’t have. Valiant Lady gets around more than any of them, from Europe and Iceland to New York and San Juan, and a 2026 dry dock gave her a restaurant you won’t find anywhere else in the fleet. Resilient Lady has bounced from Greece to Australia to the Caribbean, and Brilliant Lady is the only one that fits through the Panama Canal, which is why she’s the one sailing Alaska and the West Coast.

This Virgin Voyages fleet guide covers every ship in the fleet, including gross tonnage, guest capacity, crew, launch year, current deployment, refurbishments, upcoming dry docks and the notable history behind each one. More importantly, it explains what those differences actually mean when you’re deciding which ship to book, because with a fleet this uniform, the itinerary and the last refit usually matter more than the ship itself.

Lady Class · 110,000 Gross Tons

Brilliant Lady

Launched 2025

Lady Class  ·  New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Seattle (seasonal)

Brilliant Lady

Brilliant Lady is the newest and last of Virgin's four Lady ships, and the only one that can fit through the Panama Canal. Her lifeboats are set further inboard than on her sisters, which is what opened up the U.S. West Coast, Mexico and Alaska to Virgin for the first time. She has the same 110,000-ton, 2,770-guest design and adults-only setup as the rest of the fleet, plus a few extras of her own, including Rojo by Razzle Dazzle and a bigger main pool area. Her first year took her from New York and New England to the Caribbean, through the Panama Canal, and up to Alaska for Virgin's first season there.

Notable History & Dry Dock Updates

Virgin ordered Brilliant Lady in 2018 as the fourth ship in the series. Fincantieri floated her out in November 2022, but material shortages pushed her debut back by about two years, and she didn't enter service until September 2025, when she started her maiden season from New York.In March 2026 she made Virgin's first-ever Panama Canal transit on her way to the West Coast, and on May 21, 2026, she opened Virgin's first Alaska season out of Seattle. She's still essentially new, and no dry dock has been announced as of October 2026.

Resilient Lady

Launched 2023

Lady Class  ·  Miami for winter; Western Mediterranean (Barcelona) in summer 2027

Resilient Lady

Resilient Lady is the third Lady ship, built to the same 110,000-ton, 2,770-guest design as her sisters, with the same mix of included specialty dining, Red Room shows and Sea Terrace hammocks. She's spent the last couple of years running four- and five-night Caribbean trips from Miami to places like Cozumel, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Grand Turk and the Beach Club at Bimini, and that shapes the crowd. Expect lots of first-timers and birthday groups and a livelier pool deck than you'll find on Virgin's longer European voyages. She heads to the Western Mediterranean for summer 2027.

Notable History & Dry Dock Updates

Fincantieri delivered Resilient Lady in December 2022, and she debuted from Piraeus (Athens) on May 14, 2023, with Greek Isles sailings. That winter she became Virgin's first ship based in Australia, sailing from Melbourne and Sydney to New Zealand, Tasmania and the South Pacific. Virgin cancelled her second Australia season in 2024 because Red Sea security concerns made the repositioning voyage too risky, and she shifted to Europe and the Caribbean instead. In late 2025 she got a light refresh ahead of her Caribbean season, which swapped the Voyage Vinyl shop for a new Shore Things hub and turned The Den into a high-limit casino room. Her first major dry dock is scheduled for August 17 to September 2, 2027, between her Rome and Barcelona sailings. Virgin hasn't released details yet, but she's expected to get updates similar to the ones her sisters received.

Valiant Lady

Launched 2021

Lady Class  ·  San Juan for winter 2026-27; Europe and New York seasonally

Valiant Lady

Valiant Lady is Scarlet Lady's near-identical twin and the most well-traveled ship in the fleet. In the last year alone she's sailed from Portsmouth, Barcelona, Amsterdam, New York and San Juan, including a 2026 total solar eclipse voyage to Iceland and the UK. Onboard it's the familiar Lady-class formula, with 20-plus included eateries and zero kids, but since her 2026 dry dock she's also the only Virgin ship with Ariya by Razzle Dazzle, the line's Indian-inspired restaurant. For winter 2026-27 she's sailing weeklong Southern Caribbean itineraries from San Juan, Puerto Rico, before heading back to Miami for shorter trips.

Notable History & Dry Dock Updates

Valiant Lady was delivered by Fincantieri on July 1, 2021, then sat in layup for eight months before her first sailing, a three-night run from Portsmouth to Zeebrugge on March 18, 2022. Jennifer Lopez is considered her godmother, although there was never a traditional naming ceremony. She completed a two-week dry dock at Fincantieri's Palermo yard in May 2026. The work added Ariya by Razzle Dazzle with chef Maneet Chauhan, an evening bar at Grounds Club Too, an Aperitivo Club at Extra Virgin, a bigger dance floor in The Manor, a new stage layout at The Dock, TAG and Pandora boutiques and more than 20 new activities. Cabins weren't part of that refit. She marked five years with Virgin in July 2026.

Scarlet Lady

Launched 2020

Lady Class  ·  Miami for winter; Mediterranean (Athens and Barcelona) in summer

Scarlet Lady

Scarlet Lady is the ship that launched Virgin Voyages, and she's still the one most people picture when they think of the brand. She's 110,000 gross tons with room for about 2,770 adults-only Sailors, and like her sisters she skips the main dining room and buffet in favor of 20-plus eateries, including Test Kitchen, The Wake and Gunbae, plus the Red Room theater, The Manor nightclub and a hammock on nearly every Sea Terrace. Her year splits between short Bahamas and Caribbean runs from Miami's Terminal V, with plenty of Beach Club at Bimini days, and summer seasons in the Mediterranean. She's the oldest ship in the fleet, but thanks to a 2024 refit she's also the only Lady ship with the Deck 11 Seriously Suites.

Notable History & Dry Dock Updates

Scarlet Lady was delivered by Fincantieri in February 2020, just weeks before the pandemic shut cruising down, and then spent about 18 months waiting for her debut. She finally ran short "Summer Seacations" from Portsmouth, England, in August 2021 and kicked off her real inaugural season from Miami on October 6, 2021, roughly a year and a half later than planned. Her first dry dock, in November 2024, added 24 new Seriously Suites on Deck 11, six VIP cabanas on Deck 16, Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle, an evening bar at Grounds Club Too, more slot machines and a couples treatment room in the spa. In July 2026, while under charter to Atlantis Events, she was turned away from ports in Turkey and Egypt. No new dry dock has been announced as of October 2026, though Virgin has said it wants to bring some of Brilliant Lady's features, like the larger pool, to its older ships.
