Let’s take a walk around Deck 7 on MSC World America. We’ll start in the Panorama Lounge at the back of the ship, pass through the casino, then check out Hola Tacos and Cantina, the Masters of the Sea pub, Butcher’s Cut, Kaito and the MSC Foundation.

Key Takeaways

  • The Panorama Lounge has big windows overlooking the back of the ship, stadium style seating and a full bar, a lot like Two70 on Royal Caribbean’s Quantum class ships.
  • The main casino is 100% nonsmoking, with a nice size bar in the center and table games.
  • Smokers get a very small, enclosed smoking casino on the other side of a glass wall.
  • The photo gallery has kiosks for your pictures, plus that iris photo where they turn a picture of your eye into artwork.
  • Masters of the Sea is an old English style pub with its own craft brewery on board and entertainment at night.
  • Butcher’s Cut is a small steakhouse with an open kitchen, only about 37 tables from what I was told.
  • Kaito has six teppanyaki tables and a sushi bar where you can watch them make your sushi.
  • The MSC Foundation has a spot on board where you can learn about their marine conservation work and pick up merch that helps save coral reefs.

Good to Know

The ship has smart elevators. You pick the deck you’re going to and how many people are with you, and it tells you which elevator car to get into.

If you’re a smoker, know that the smoking casino is tiny and enclosed, so it gets smoky in there. Everyone else gets the whole main casino floor smoke free. I did a longer casino tour video if you want to see more.

Deck 7 is a big one for food. Hola Tacos and Cantina is where you’ll get tacos and tequila, and I had a very good dinner there. Between Butcher’s Cut and Kaito, you’ve got a steakhouse, teppanyaki and sushi all on the same stretch.
