Grab your flip-flops and a margarita, because Margaritaville at Sea is shaking a few itineraries in early 2025! The cruise line, known for its laid-back vibe and Jimmy Buffett flair, is adding a brand-new port of call to its roster. Starting in January, the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will sail to Nassau, Bahamas, for the very first time. This port-of-call will be available on a handful of select four-night cruises, offering passengers a fresh new destination to explore.
For those who aren’t familiar, Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is the oldest ship in the line’s small fleet, cruising out of the Port of Palm Beach in Riviera Beach, Florida (that’s West Palm Beach, to most folks). Since its inception, the cruise line has primarily focused on a single Bahamian destination: Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. Now, with the addition of Nassau to the mix, Margaritaville at Sea is offering cruisers a little something different for the New Year.
Margaritaville at Sea’s decision to chart a new course to Nassau marks an interesting milestone for the cruise line. Nassau and Freeport aren’t highly rated ports for many cruise lines, and are often seen as a bit “been there, done that” by seasoned cruisers. But for Margaritaville at Sea’s loyal fans—or for first-timers looking for a budget-friendly way to experience the Bahamas—it’s an exciting new option.
The sailings that will make stops in both Nassau and Freeport are scheduled for:
- January 6, 2025
- January 20, 2025
- January 27, 2025
- February 3, 2025
- February 10, 2025
These four-night cruises will provide a bit more variety for those who have already “done Freeport” and are itching to check out a new destination. For travelers who love the relaxed atmosphere of Margaritaville at Sea but have been craving more than just another visit to Freeport, this is a welcome change.
