Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has just unveiled its newest ship, the Norwegian Luna, and bookings are now open for this highly anticipated addition to the Prima Plus Class fleet. Norwegian Luna, set to debut in March 2026, will offer seven-day Caribbean voyages from Miami.
Norwegian Luna will be the 21st ship in NCL’s fleet, featuring all the hallmarks of the Prima Plus Class but with enhanced features and design. Slightly larger than its sister ships, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, Norwegian Luna is 1,056 feet long and weighs 156,300 gross tons, accommodating approximately 3,550 guests. Its increased size allows for more spacious public areas, elevated experiences, and exciting new features for guests to enjoy.
Explore the Caribbean: Eastern and Western Itineraries
Sailing round-trip from Miami, Norwegian Luna will offer two distinct Caribbean itineraries. From April through November 2026, Norwegian Luna will sail on both Eastern and Western Caribbean routes, giving guests the chance to visit Roatan Island, Honduras, as well as Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico. Additionally, the ship will call at Harvest Caye in Belize, NCL’s private resort-style island, designed to provide guests with an exclusive and relaxing tropical experience.
For those looking to explore the Eastern Caribbean, Norwegian Luna will visit Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, the island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, and the iconic St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The journey will also include a stop at Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas. By late 2025, a new pier will be constructed at Great Stirrup Cay, making access to this private paradise even more seamless by eliminating the need to take a tender boat to get ashore.
A Work of Art at Sea: Norwegian Luna’s Striking Hull Design
Norwegian Cruise Line is known for its signature hull art, and Norwegian Luna will continue this tradition with a design created by renowned street artist ELLE. Her piece, entitled La Luna, is inspired by the reflection of moonlight on the sea and explores humanity’s deep connection with the celestial forces of space.
La Luna will grace the bow of the ship, setting the tone for the Norwegian Luna’s celestial theme and adding a striking visual element to the vessel that will be admired by travelers and onlookers alike.
Onboard Experiences: Thrills and Innovation
Norwegian Luna will offer a wide array of onboard experiences that promise to keep guests entertained throughout their voyage. One of the ship’s standout attractions will be the Aqua Slidecoaster, a unique hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide that will debut on Norwegian Aqua in 2025 and then make its way to Norwegian Luna. This three-story thrill ride will take guests on an adrenaline-pumping journey, featuring exciting twists and turns around the ship’s funnel.
In addition to the Aqua Slidecoaster, Norwegian Luna will feature the Glow Court, a digital sports complex that transforms into a vibrant nightclub by night. Guests will also have access to popular attractions like The Drop, a 10-story free-fall slide, and The Stadium, an outdoor area offering complimentary activities for guests of all ages.
Elevated Luxury: The Haven Experience
For those seeking an elevated cruising experience, Norwegian Luna will introduce the luxurious Three-Bedroom Duplex Haven Suites. These expansive two-story suites will feature separate living and dining areas, three bathrooms, and spacious balconies, providing the ultimate in privacy and comfort. The Haven by Norwegian®, an exclusive keycard-access area, offers guests 24-hour butler service, a dedicated concierge team, and access to private facilities, including a sundeck, an infinity pool overlooking the ship’s stern, and a glass-walled sauna with ocean views.
The Haven’s sophisticated amenities, along with Norwegian’s renowned personalized service, ensure that guests in this area will enjoy an unmatched level of luxury and relaxation throughout their journey.
Dining and Beverage Options: A Culinary Journey
Guests will have access to the popular Indulge Food Hall, which offers 10 different food stations, including plant-based options at Planterie. In addition, Norwegian Luna will debut Sukhothai, a new Thai specialty restaurant serving both traditional and creative dishes.
Returning NCL favorites such as Cagney’s Steakhouse, Le Bistro, and Onda by Scarpetta will also be available, offering guests a variety of fine dining options. Norwegian Luna’s bar and lounge venues will include the award-winning Sail & Sustain cocktail bar, recognized for its commitment to eco-friendly and sustainable practices, as well as the Whiskey Bar and Belvedere Bar, where guests can unwind with expertly crafted cocktails.
Ocean Views and Outdoor Spaces: Bringing Guests Closer to the Sea
Norwegian Luna is designed to maximize guests’ connection to the ocean with several outdoor spaces and open-air lounges. Ocean Boulevard, a 46,000-square-foot walkway that wraps around the entire ship, allows guests to take in panoramic views of the sea while enjoying various activities or simply relaxing.
For adults seeking a quiet retreat, the Vibe Beach Club offers an open-air lounge with comfortable seating and sun loungers, perfect for a day of relaxation. Infinity Beach, with its stunning views and serene atmosphere, will also provide guests with a tranquil space to soak in the beauty of the Caribbean.
As Norwegian Luna approaches its debut, NCL promises to reveal even more exciting details about the ship’s features and onboard experiences. Sailing from Miami in 2026, this ship will provide an unforgettable Caribbean experience with something for everyone. With bookings already open, now is the perfect time to secure your spot on this remarkable new vessel and look forward to an exceptional journey at sea.
