The upcoming 2026-2027 Caribbean season from Royal Caribbean is shaping up to be one of the biggest ever. The cruise line just dropped its lineup for the 2027-2028 season, and once again the Caribbean is the star of the show. Thirteen ships will spend the year hopping between the Western, Eastern, and Southern Caribbean, including some of the most popular ships in the fleet.

What makes the announcement especially exciting is just how many ships will be sailing from Florida. Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, and Tampa will be absolutely packed with Royal Caribbean ships. But Florida is not the only place to board a ship. Several cruise-friendly ports beyond the Sunshine State will also welcome Royal ships that explore the Caribbean in fresh ways.

Below is an easy breakdown of what is sailing where.

Fort Lauderdale

  • Legend of the Seas – Beginning November 2027, the new Legend of the Seas returns from Europe and jumps right into 6 and 8 night Southern and Western Caribbean sailings. Onboard, guests will have the largest waterpark at sea, tons of dining options, and a brand new production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”

Not Sailing From Florida? Royal Caribbean Still Has You Covered

Plenty of Royal Caribbean ships will homeport outside Florida while still delivering Caribbean itineraries.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

  • Grandeur of the Seas – From May 2027, Grandeur runs 7 night Southern Caribbean sailings to Tortola, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, and other postcard perfect islands. In December, Grandeur shifts to Colon and Cartagena, taking guests to the ABC islands.

New Orleans

  • Mariner of the Seas – Mariner returns from Europe and calls New Orleans home for the winter and spring. Expect 6 to 9 night Western Caribbean itineraries to Belize, Roatan, and Cozumel. Royal Beach Club Cozumel will be a highlight for many cruisers once it opens.

Colon, Panama and Cartagena, Colombia

  • Grandeur of the Seas – Starting December 2027, Grandeur mixes things up with 7 night ABC island sailings between Colon and Cartagena. Think colorful Dutch inspired towns, sunny beaches, and warm year round weather.

Across the entire lineup, cruisers can expect a mix of Perfect Day at CocoCay visits, stops at the new Royal Beach Clubs in Paradise Island and Cozumel, and itineraries that feature Port Samana in the Dominican Republic, which is quickly becoming a guest favorite.

Plus, the highly anticipated Perfect Day Mexico is still on the way, expected to open in late 2027 with a confirmed date coming next year.
