From the sandy beaches of our coast to the marvel and wonder of the Grand Canyon, America has plenty of places to visit and explore, but nothing can compare to the beauty and nature of Alaska. And there’s no better way to see all the “last frontier” has to offer than on a cruise.

An Alaskan cruise allows you to get unprecedented views of nature at its best. Cruise past majestic glaciers and jaw-dropping scenery, or book shore excursions such as whale watching, a trip through a rain forest (yes, they have those in Alaska) or go deep in the frontier on a hike.  There’s also a famous brothel you can visit, although it’s no longer in “business.”

For those looking to take the Alaskan experience even further, most cruise lines offer the ability to combine your cruise with a land package that allows you even more time to spend exploring either pre- or post-cruise.

In 2019 Royal Caribbean will be deploying one of their Quantum-class ships, Ovation of the Seas, to sail Alaska from Seattle, WA. She will join Radiance of the Seas which has been a fixture in Alaskan waters for several seasons.

For the first time ever, those who book a cruise on Ovation will be able to see the famous Hubbard Glacier like it’s never been seen before – from the North Star observation capsule.

The North Star, a feature on all Royal Caribbean Quantum-class ships, takes passengers 300 feet above the water for 360-degree views of their surroundings.
