Just doing a quick check-in today as part of this 4-day cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas. Today is a sea day, and honestly… I didn’t do much of anything. But when you’re on vacation, is that really a bad thing?
Got some coffee and breakfast to start the day. I pretty much get the same thing every morning—some different fruits, an omelet, and avocado toast. The pineapple has been incredible. After breakfast, I grabbed another coffee from Café Latte-Tudes and some water.
My plan was to sip the coffee, then finally hit the gym for a bit. I’ve never actually gone to the gym on a ship before, but I always tell myself I’m going to. Well… the gym was packed, so instead I walked a few laps around the track.
Tried my luck in the casino. Sea days are a great time to go since there’s hardly anyone there. I won a little bit back from what I lost on night one… but of course gave it back—plus more. The casino on this trip has been atrocious.
If you’ve read my article, the Ultimate Guide to Royal Caribbean’s Club Royal Casino Program and how their point system works, then you know I don’t call these “free” cruises—they’re comp cruises. And I definitely paid for it this time!

That said, the bankroll I’m playing with is mostly the same one I took with me on my Independence of the Seas cruise back in April 2024. Most of it, anyway. I always board with the same amount for a 4-night cruise. Sometimes I end up adding a couple hundred more. I’m also really bad at keeping track of what goes toward the casino and what goes toward tips, so… yeah.
I actually spent most of today just hanging out in the room. I’ve been trying to learn a new camera I recently purchased—this is my first cruise using it, so there’s definitely a bit of a learning curve. I spent some time going over the footage I’ve filmed so far. Once I get everything organized and ready to go, I’ll be launching my YouTube page!

I don’t want to launch it until I have enough content to really get it going, but I think it’s going to be fun and unique. That’s the goal anyway.
After playing around with my camera for a bit, I ended up taking a nap. I very rarely nap, but the rocking of the ship combined with the lack of sleep the night before just knocked me out. And honestly? It felt amazing.
I woke up with enough time to grab a quick snack. One thing I really like about Enchantment of the Seas is the Windjammer Annex. It’s located just inside from the pool deck on the port side of the ship. It’s a small seating area, and they’ve got a nacho and taco bar set up with all the toppings. Besides nachos and tacos, they also serve hot dogs.
I’m a sucker for loaded nachos, so naturally, I had to get some. The toppings were all fresh, and honestly, I could eat this as a full meal three times a day. The Windjammer Annex is open daily from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Made my rounds to a few of the bars to say hi to some of the bartenders and grab a couple of drinks. Tried my luck again in the casino (spoiler alert: there is no luck).
When it came time to decide what to do for dinner, I chose Windjammer—and I picked the perfect time to go. It was completely empty! Dress Your Best night is hands-down the best night to eat in Windjammer, and going right when they opened meant no lines, no crowds, and plenty of fresh food.
For dinner, I went with a little bit of everything—grilled vegetables, a baked potato, a caprese salad, chicken parm, and vegetable lasagna. I didn’t care for the vegetable lasagna—it was a little bland. But to be fair, I’m not a foodie and probably not the best person to take dining advice from when it comes to quality. It doesn’t take much to impress me with a meal.

That said, the chicken parm? Delicious. Perfectly cooked, which is honestly surprising for a buffet.
After dinner, I went back out to do some bar hopping and eventually ended up at the Schooner Bar to check out the entertainment. The piano player was actually pretty good. I have no idea why I didn’t take a picture of him—but I did take a picture of the mural on the wall after someone pointed out there’s a guy in it getting his ass kicked.

Naturally, I asked the bartender if the painting was supposed to represent a Carnival cruise.
Another somewhat early bedtime for me—because tomorrow is Cozumel. And boy, do I have some excitement planned there!
I also snapped a photo of the sunset tonight—it totally reminded me of Mortal Kombat. (Cue the theme music…)
