In summer 2026, Virgin Voyages will introduce Alaskan itineraries aboard their newest ship, Brilliant Lady. Known for its adult-focused cruise experience, Virgin Voyages will offer guests the opportunity to explore Alaska’s breathtaking landscapes, unique wildlife, and coastal towns on a series of voyages departing between May and September.
The itineraries feature stops in the Pacific Northwest, including the iconic towns of Ketchikan and Sitka, and offer close-up encounters with Alaska’s wilderness and diverse wildlife. Each cruise aims to capture the spirit of Alaska through shore excursions, or “Shore Things,” that allow guests to experience the local culture and environment. Options range from dog sledding and salmon fishing to glacier trekking and wildlife spotting, with a chance to see bald eagles, seals, and humpback whales.
Guests will have the choice of seven- to 12-night voyages departing from Seattle and Vancouver. For example, the Brilliant Lady’s MerMaiden voyage (May 21-28) will sail from Seattle to Ketchikan, a village surrounded by the Tongass National Forest, and Sitka, a town renowned for its cultural heritage and scenic beauty. Another itinerary includes a journey through the Tracy Arm Fjord, known for its dramatic cliffs and waterfalls, and a stop in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, a charming coastal town before returning to Seattle.
Aboard Brilliant Lady, the design encourages taking in the scenery from various vantage points. Most cabins include private balconies with hammocks, offering a cozy spot to enjoy Alaskan views. Virgin’s open dining concept, The Galley, is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, so guests can savor the sights while dining. For those looking to stay active, the ship’s suspended running track, The Runway, also doubles as a viewing platform, providing a unique perspective on the Alaskan landscape.
The Alaskan sailings mark the culmination of Brilliant Lady’s inaugural North American tour, which will also feature voyages from New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Seattle, as well as a 16-night journey through the Panama Canal. The Alaskan routes will open for booking to the general public starting November 13, following early access for Virgin Voyages’ Sailing Club members and presale passholders.
