It’s official! ms Nieuw Statendam has officially been “handed over” to Holland America Line and is now the line’s newest Pinnacle-class cruise ship.
The delivery of Nieuw Statendam brings the number of ships in the Holland America Line fleet to 15. The 99,202-ton vessel carries 2,666 passengers and features many of the amenities found on sister ship, and first Pinnacle-class vessel – ms Koningsdam, including Lincoln Center Stage, Billboard Onboard, B.B. King’s Blues Club, and more.
Nieuw Statendam is currently en-route to her winter home-port in Florida, Port Everglades, where she will sail the warm waters of the Caribbean until May when she sails to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in May. From there she will sail a series of northern Europe, Baltic and Iceland cruises before making its way to the Mediterranean in September for cruises out of Civitavecchia, Italy.
