Carnival Cruise Line has two Vista-class cruise ships coming out in the next two years. The first in the class, Carnival Vista was launched in 2016 and is currently the newest ship in the fleet.
Carnival Vista carries 3,936 passengers and currently calls Galveston, TX home where she sails a Caribbean itinerary.
The second Vista-class ship, Carnival Horizon, is currently under construction and is set to be delivered in April 2018. Horizon will initially sail in Europe before making a crossing to New York where she will sail to Bermuda and the Caribbean starting in May 2018. She will reposition to her new home port of Miami to kick off the Caribbean season in September 2018 where six and eight-day cruises will be offered.
A third Vista-class ship, currently under construction, is set to enter service in November 2019 and has been given the name Carnival Panorama.
“Carnival Panorama is the perfect name to reflect the design inspiration of our Vista-class ships providing more venues and opportunities to connect with the sea,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Carnival Panorama will offer a wide variety of fun indoor and outdoor experiences along with exciting one-of-a-kind features that will provide our guests with a lifetime of wonderful vacation memories,” she added.
Some of the features cruisers will find on Carnival Panorama include:
Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse – Food Network’s Guy Fieri’s newest restaurant at sea will serve up BBQ favorites including brisket, sausage, baby back ribs, salmon and dry-rubbed chicken along with exclusive micro-brews.
Dr. Seuss WaterWorks – This water park will feature two slides: The Cat’s Hat slide with its bright red and white strips will take you twisting down to coolness while the Fun Things slide takes you on a topsy-turvy ride into the pool below.
SportsSquare with SkyRide – Strap yourself in and zip around the top of the ship on this bike-ride-in-the sky ride unique to Vista-class ships. Not that adventurous? Check out mini-bowling, pool, soccer, volleyball, ping-pong, mini-golf, basketball and even a ropes course.
Havana Bar & Pool – a Havana inspired pool and bar where tropical drinks and Cuban cocktails are the themes during the day and the heat gets turned up at night when the area turns into a sizzling club under the stars.
Additionally, the ship will have the line’s Cloud 9 Spa, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, Bonsai Sushi, and more. Additional unique-to-the-ship features will be announced as construction progresses.
