MSC Meraviglia, one of the world’s largest cruise ships, made its grand debut at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in New York City on April 20, 2023 after previously homeporting at Port Canaveral, FL. Set to sail from the Big Apple, the megaship is scheduled to embark on various itineraries throughout the year, showcasing MSC Cruises’ dedication to the New York cruise market and boosting the region’s economy.
MSC Meraviglia, affectionately known as “The Ship for All Seasons,” is a feat of modern engineering and design. Boasting expansive indoor and outdoor public spaces, this state-of-the-art vessel is ideal for every climate, thanks to its unique pool deck with a retractable roof. As MSC Cruises continues to expand in the U.S., New York City joins Miami and Port Canaveral as one of the line’s North American homeports.
Rubén Rodríguez, President of MSC Cruises USA, expressed excitement about the ship’s arrival in New York. He highlighted MSC Meraviglia’s versatility and impressive offerings, making it the perfect choice for the North American expansion. Northeastern guests can now enjoy direct access to the exclusive Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in The Bahamas, as well as other exciting itineraries to Bermuda, Canada, and New England.
