Some exciting news from the high seas – Carnival Cruise Line has officially welcomed its 100 millionth guest aboard one of its ships! That’s right, folks – Carnival is the first cruise line ever to hit this incredible milestone.
To celebrate this achievement, Carnival President Christine Duffy paid a visit to the Carnival Sunrise at PortMiami, where the cruise line was founded, to personally thank the guests who were boarding the ship. The lucky 100 millionth guest was the Clifford family from Ohio, who were recognized with a grand fanfare from Duffy and the ship’s team members, including Captain Luca Cherchi.
Duffy was ecstatic about reaching this historic moment and credited it to the fun and inclusive atmosphere that Carnival has been providing to its guests for the past 51 years. “There is certainly much more fun to come,” she said. And she wasn’t kidding – Carnival is rapidly expanding its operations, with three new ships set to join its fleet by next year.
One of these new additions, the Carnival Celebration, has already been a big hit with guests during its first few months of sailing from Miami. And there’s more excitement on the horizon – in May, Carnival Venezia will be debuting and expanding Carnival’s New York offerings to year-round with a host of all-new “Carnival Fun Italian Style” experiences. Later this year, Carnival Jubilee will join the fleet and sail from Galveston, Texas. And in the spring of 2024, Carnival Firenze, sister ship to Carnival Venezia, will begin offering year-round cruises from Long Beach, California.
