Margaritaville at Sea has announced its most ambitious deployment yet for one of the oldest cruise ships still sailing – Margaritaville at Sea Paradise. In 2027, there will be even more destinations and sailing options for the ship which cruises from the Port of Palm Beach in Riveria Beach, FL. The new lineup introduces first-time Caribbean ports, additional multi-night itineraries, and the return of select guest-favorite sailings.
In addition to its usual Bahamas routes, Paradise will venture to new destinations in the Caribbean, giving returning guests fresh options and attracting cruisers seeking longer short-cruise experiences.

First-Ever Destinations
For the first time in the ship’s history, Paradise will sail to:
- Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic
- Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos
Expanded Bahamas and Short-Cruise Options
The Bahamas are a mainstay for Paradise, but the 2027 schedule introduces new 3- and 4-night sailings to Bimini. These itineraries offer additional flexibility for guests seeking extended weekend-style escapes without committing to a full weeklong voyage. Since there is only one cruise terminal in Bimini, at the Resorts World Casino and Resort, we can assume that guests will be able to enjoy the Beach Club at Bimini which is used by Virgin Voyages.
Additionally, a limited release of 2-night sailings will return, departing on Fridays to provide convenient weekend getaways from Palm Beach. These shorter cruises have historically been popular among travelers looking for quick, accessible vacations.
Increased Focus on Key West
Key West continues to play a prominent role in Paradise’s deployment. The 2027 calendar includes more departures featuring the Florida Keys destination, highlighted by a dedicated Jimmy Buffett Day sailing on September 2, 2027.
Festival and Celebration Voyages
Themed cruises have proven to be popular among the Margaritaville at Sea fan base, so Paradise will offer a series of 5-night celebration sailings featuring special programming tied to destination-driven events:
- Fantasy Week with calls to Key West and Mexico
- Sail the Spooky Seas with a stop in Nassau during the Halloween season
- Día de los Muertos sailing to Cozumel
More 3- and 4-Night Itineraries
Responding to demand for longer short cruises, Paradise will expand availability of 4-night weekday sailings and 3-night itineraries in 2027. Destinations will include Key West, Nassau, and Freeport, Grand Bahama Island.
Old But Not Forgotten
Paradise recently returned to service following a drydock refresh. Updates included enhanced dining venues, upgraded public spaces, fresh carpet, and more. It shows the line is serious about keeping the old lady sailing for at least a few more years but with her age, the time will be coming soon when she’ll have to be retired as she is not nearly as efficient as newer ships.
Margaritaville at Sea has another ship, Beachcomber, arriving in January 2027 which will call Miami home. Like her sister, the Islander which sails from Tampa, the ship was purchased from Costa Cruises and will be getting a Buffet-style makeover once the handoff is complete. Once Beachcomber gets closer to delivery, eyes will be on whether or not an announcement will be made regarding a much-needed replacement for Paradise.
