She’s not only huge, she’s a self-contained city that can accommodate a maximum of 6,680 passengers and 2,200 crew, she’s touting some of the most advanced technology and newest passenger amenities of any ship afloat:

  • 23 pools, waterslides and FlowRider surf simulators
  • 20 different restaurants serving up more than 300 individual menu options
  • The number of works of art onboard surpasses the number of paintings in the Louvre
  • The ships 7 “neighborhoods” outnumber the boroughs of New York City
  • The Ultimate Abyss waterslide is taller than Mount Rushmore
  • Just one of the ship’s four bow thrusters has more horsepower than seven Ferraris
  • The 12,000 plants in the ship’s Central Park outnumber those in the Smithsonian Gardens Orchid Collection
  • Symphony of the Seas weighs more than 17,000 African Elephants
  • The ship is more than twice as tall as the Washington Monument

Pretty impressive, right?

Whether you have a cruise booked on her and you’re curious as to what to expect once on board, or just want to take a look at what it’s like inside a ship that cost more than $1.3B, you can in under two minutes.  Just watch this hyper-lapse video that takes you around the ship from the top deck, down the zip line, through some of the largest staterooms at sea, into a few of the restaurants, around Central Park and more.

After watching, it won’t be long before you’ll be ready to experience this newest cruise ship for yourself!

For those of us in the United States, Symphony of the Seas will be arriving later this year to PortMiami where she will sail the Caribbean year-round and will include stops in the new Perfect Day at CoCo Cay, Royal Caribbean’s newly revealed destination in the Bahamas.
