Royal Caribbean‘s fourth Oasis-class cruise ship, Symphony of the Seas, is currently under construction in the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint Nazaire, France. Once complete she will gain the title of the “World’s Largest Cruise Ship,” a title previously held by sister ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. The honor currently is held by the third, and newest, Oasis-class ship Harmony of the Seas.
The 6,780 passenger Symphony of the Seas will have 18 decks, 2,175 crew members, two rock climbing walls, water park, full-size basketball court, ice-skating rink and more features yet to be announced, as these things are usually kept a secret. When Symphony launches in April 2018, she will sail the Mediterranean visiting Spain, France, and Italy before making her way to PortMiami in November 2018.
More about her arrival and a bit of a ship-shuffle can be found here.
