The next ship to gain the title of “world’s largest cruise ship,” has touched water today for the first time. Royal Caribbean’s next Oasis-class ship, Symphony of the Seas, was floated out of dry dock and moved to begin the next phase of construction.

Symphony of the Seas is set to launch in April 2018 with a series of Mediterranean cruises prior to her arrival at her new home port of Miami in November. Once in Miami, she will join sister-ship Allure of the Seas.

This fourth ship in the Oasis-class will carry 6,780 passengers, 2,175 crew and will have 18 decks, an ice skating rink, two rock climbing walls, a full-size basketball court, water park and more.
