The steel has been cut on the fifth Oasis-class ship for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line! The steel cutting, marking the official start of construction, took place at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. The yet-to-be-named ship is expected to be delivered in 2021.
The Oasis Class took the cruise industry by storm with the introduction of Oasis of the Seas a decade ago and again with the introduction of Symphony of the Seas in 2018. The fifth Oasis Class ship will combine the iconic seven-neighborhood concept that her sister ships feature with a bold and unexpected lineup of thrilling experiences, imaginative dining, unparalleled entertainment and the latest technology.
Oasis-class cruise ships are the world’s largest and typically carry more than 5,400 passengers.
Currently, Royal Caribbean operates the following Oasis-class ships:
- Oasis of the Seas – entered service in 2009
- Allure of the Seas – entered service in 2010
- Harmony of the Seas – entered service in 2016
- Symphony of the Seas – entered service in 2018
