If you’ve ever cruised on the Carnival Conquest, you know she isn’t just a cruise ship – she’s a legend. She is the “Queen of the booze cruises” out of PortMiami, and Conquest has built a reputation for being one of the most high-energy, party-heavy ships in the Carnival fleet.
Whether you’re looking to celebrate a bachelor party, a milestone birthday, or just need a long weekend to blow off some steam, the Conquest is the go-to vessel for those who want to pack seven days of fun into a three-day weekend.
Fresh From Dry Dock: What’s New?
Carnival Conquest is back to sailing after a 12-day dry dock at the nearby Grand Bahama Shipyard, and several key areas have been reimagined to enhance the guest experience.
Here is what you can expect on your next sailing:
- The Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge – One of the new additions is the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge. This venue honors military veterans and active-duty service members. It’s a great spot to grab a drink with a purpose; Carnival raises funds for Operation Homefront through the sale of special souvenir glasses and the Heroes American Pale Ale.
- An Expanded Casino – Let’s be honest, the casino is a key focus for many on a 3-night cruise. The Conquest’s casino has been expanded and redesigned with more gaming options and a better layout. Most importantly for many guests, there is now a dedicated non-smoking area, allowing you to double down without the cloud of smoke. This casino expansion is part of a wider trend among cruise lines to increase onboard revenue and something discussed the other day in this article article.
- More Fun for Teens and Families – While the ship is pretty much a floating 24-7 nightclub, Carnival hasn’t forgotten the younger crowd. Club O2 (the teen hangout) has been given new gaming areas and fresh décor. Additionally, the WAREHOUSE video arcade was completely renovated.
- Shopping Upgrades – If you need a break from the Lido deck, the retail shops have received a facelift.

Pack your bags (and maybe some aspirin) – the Conquest is calling.
