The Disney Adventure has an interesting history. The ship was initially part of the Global Dream project, an ambitious venture by Genting Hong Kong. However, financial difficulties led to the project stalling, and Disney saw an opportunity to acquire the partially completed vessel in 2021. Acquiring the Global Dream, Disney set out to infuse its distinctive magic into the vessel, transforming it into the Disney Adventure.
