Royal Caribbean is giving three ships—Ovation of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas—a big refresh in 2026. They’re adding new features, dining spots, and activities while sailing to places like Alaska, Europe, and the Caribbean. If you’re thinking about a cruise on one of these ships, here’s what’s coming!

Ovation of the Seas: Sailing to Alaska

Ovation is getting a new pool deck with private casitas and a whirlpool, great for relaxing while taking in Alaska’s scenery. You can grab Italian dishes at Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen or try hibachi at Izumi Teppanyaki. There’s a new Pesky Parrot tiki bar for drinks and a Sound Cellar for dancing. The Casino Royale is expanding, and new rooms like the Ultimate Family Suite and Panoramic Suite are being added. Favorites like the Ripcord by iFly skydiving simulator and the huge SeaPlex activity space are sticking around.

Starting spring 2026, Ovation will do 7- to 13-night Alaska cruises with glacier views and wildlife. It’s also the first Quantum Class ship to offer multi-night Cruisetours, letting you explore more on land.

Harmony of the Seas: Sailing from Europe and Port Canaveral

Harmony is adding a Caribbean-style pool deck with The Lime & Coconut bar for drinks and a spruced-up adults-only Solarium. With over 20 dining spots, you’ve got options like Playmakers Sports Bar for game-day snacks, El Loco Fresh for Mexican food, and a new Samba Grill for Brazilian steak. The Casino Royale is the biggest in the fleet, and the Ultimate Family Suite offers more space for families.

In summer 2026, Harmony will cruise Europe, then head to Port Canaveral, Florida, for 5- and 7-night Caribbean trips to places like St. Thomas and Jamaica. You can also visit Perfect Day at CocoCay or the new Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, opening December 2025.

Liberty of the Seas: Sailing from Southampton and Galveston

Liberty is getting a new pool deck with The Lime & Coconut bar and casitas, plus a Royal Escape Room for some brain-teasing fun. You can eat at Izumi Teppanyaki for Japanese dishes, El Loco Fresh for tacos, or a new Starbucks for coffee. The Perfect Storm waterslides and entertainment options are staying, too.

In summer 2026, Liberty sails from Southampton, England, for 7-night European trips to places like Norway’s fjords and Copenhagen. In winter, it’s based in Galveston, Texas, for Western Caribbean cruises, including a stop at the new Royal Beach Club Cozumel, opening in 2026.

These changes are part of Royal Caribbean’s Royal Amplified program, which started in 2018 to keep their ships fresh with new activities and dining. With 28 ships and 300+ destinations, plus new spots like Perfect Day Mexico (fall 2027) and Royal Beach Clubs in The Bahamas and Cozumel, there’s a lot to explore.
