The world’s largest cruise ship, Symphony of the Seas, is set to be delivered to Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, but before she’s turned over some last minute finishing touches need to be done.
Once delivered, she will be the largest Oasis-class cruise ship to be built and will take over the title of “World’s Largest” from the current holder – Harmony of the Seas.
Symphony of the Seas is the fourth Oasis-class cruise ship built by Royal Caribbean. The first, which the class is named after, was Oasis of the Seas, followed by Allure of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas. A fifth is ordered and expected to be delivered in 2021.
The newest ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet has a price tag of $1.3B, holds 6,680 passengers, has 18 decks, and 2,200 crew. She enters service offering cruises from Barcelona before making her way to PortMiami to sail the Caribbean this fall.
