When it comes to iconic ships, there are many that come to mind, whether for historical reasons such as the Queen Mary, or for being one of the world’s largest and most attention grabbing such as Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas.  The cruise line’s Icon-class vessels have certainly raised the bar for future cruise ships and have become, well, iconic in their own right.  With the second Icon-class ship, Star of the Seas, debuting this August from Port Canaveral, Florida, it’s only fitting that the line’s next Icon, have a godmother who is also an icon.

So who is the godmother of Star of the Seas?
