Carnival Cruise Line has made a big announcement today! They have appointed renowned chef and restauranteur, Emeril Lagasse, as its Chief Culinary Officer. This means that Emeril’s culinary talents will be utilized fleet-wide across all Carnival Cruise ships. Emeril’s Bistro, a popular restaurant concept created by Lagasse, is already present on two of Carnival’s most innovative ships, Mardi Gras, and Carnival Celebration. The announcement was made even more exciting by the revelation that the upcoming Carnival Jubilee will also feature an Emeril’s Bistro when it arrives in Galveston, Texas in December 2023.
According to Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line, “Food is key to the fun of a Carnival cruise.” She also emphasized that with Emeril’s culinary expertise and broader profile on their ships, along with the highly popular partnership with Food Network star Guy Fieri, Carnival Cruise Line will feature two iconic talents in the food and dining industry across its fleet.
As Chief Culinary Officer, Emeril Lagasse will provide guidance on food trends, techniques, future menu items, and dining concepts to support the skilled chefs of Carnival Cruise Line. Guests can also expect to see his input on the menus of main dining rooms fleet-wide, with entrées designated as “Emeril recommends” picks.
Emeril Lagasse is a James Beard Award winner, renowned for his mastery of Creole and Cajun cuisine, and one of New Orleans’ most respected chefs. With his acclaimed restaurants across the country, popular cookbooks, and television cooking shows, including “Emeril Cooks,” Lagasse has been a household name for decades.
Carnival Cruise Line offers its guests an outstanding choice in casual and fine dining. With recent awards from Cruise Critic, Travel Weekly, The Points Guy, Good Housekeeping, and Reader’s Digest recognizing the great value and dining options, Carnival Cruise Line is a top choice for foodies and anyone looking for a fun and tasty cruise experience.
To celebrate Emeril Lagasse’s new role, Christine Duffy has invited him to join her in New York this weekend. Carnival Cruise Line is sponsoring the countdown clock and serving as a musical sponsor for the famous Times Square ball drop. This will also serve as one of the first launching points of Carnival’s new “Choose Fun Together” marketing campaign, which highlights those special moments of fun that can only happen when people come together on a Carnival cruise.
Carnival Cruise Line continues to expand its operations, with year-round departures from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal on board Carnival Venezia beginning in June. With Emeril Lagasse as its Chief Culinary Officer and the integration with the iconic New Year’s Eve Celebration in New York City, Carnival Cruise Line is poised to offer an even more exciting and delicious experience to its guests.
