The world’s largest cruise ship, Symphony of the Seas, is days away from joining the Royal Caribbean fleet and more details as to what guests can expect to see once onboard have emerged.

First, let’s talk about accommodations. Symphony of the Seas is introducing the “Ultimate Family Suite,” a two-level suite that clocks in at 1,346 square feet. The suite accommodates up to eight guests and features:

  • Two bedrooms with a “Magic Door” crawlspace in between
  • Living room
  • In-suite slide for those young and young-at-heart who prefer sliding than stair-climbing
  • Private cinema with an 85-inch HDTV complete with a movie library and a selection of video game consoles
  • LEGO wall that spans floor to ceiling
  • Hidden nooks to chill out or hide from everyone else
  • Royal Genie Concierge service that is standard in all Royal Class Suites on select Oasis-class and Quantum-class ships

Ouside on the 212-square foot balcony, guests can find:

  • Table tennis
  • Interactive, 3-D vertical maze for kids called the “Luckey Climber
  • Full-size whirlpool with ocean views

Looking at the photo, this suite looks similar to the Crown Loft Suite I had the opportunity to stay in on Allure of the Seas, check out the photos here!

When it comes to dining, Symphony of the Seas will have more than 20 restaurants including four new ones that are making their debut:

  • Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade – 30+ big screen TVs coupled with arcade games like Ms Pac-Man, Star Wars Battle Pod, Ice Skee-Ball and more, plus a variety of American classics like wings, sliders, burgers and sundaes.
  • El Loco Fresh – made-to-order tacos and burritos billed as “crazy delicious!”
  • Hooked Seafood – New England seafood classics such as lobster and crab claws, fresh local fish, and a raw bar featuring just-shucked oysters.
  • Sugar Beach – a candy and ice cream shop.

When it comes to entertainment, there’s something for everyone, including:

  • Battle for Planet Z – go head-to-head for control of the last planet in the galaxy in a glow-in-the-dark laser tag experience
  • Puzzle Break: Escape the Rubicon – teams race against the clock to escape the submarine-themed room before time runs out
  • Ultimate Abyss – the tallest waterslide at sea
  • The Perfect Storm – three water slides
  • FlowRider – the signature surf simulater that’s a hallmark of the Royal Caribbean fleet
  • Splashaway Bay – waterpark for kids and toddlers

  • Nine-deck high zip line
  • Two 43-foot rock climbing walls
  • Full-size basketball court
  • Table tennis
  • 19 pools – yes, 19 of them!

Symphony of the Seas will spend the next few months in Barcelona before making her way to PortMiami where she will sail Caribbean cruises starting in November.
