The countdown is officially on! On April 12, 2025, MSC Cruises will debut its brand-new flagship, MSC World America, from Miami—and I’ll be onboard for the inaugural sailing, reporting on everything from the entertainment and new spaces to the multiple dining options the 6,700 passenger vessel will be unveiling.
Whether you’re a steak-lover, sushi connoisseur, or just want to grab a bite between adventures, there is no shortage of places to grab a bite. From specciality restaurants to grab-and-go bites, there’s something to satisfy every craving. So as the countdown continues, let’s take a closer look at where you’ll be eating onboard MSC World America.
Eataly at Sea – The First (and Only!) Eataly at Sea
MSC World America will feature the first-ever Eataly at sea. This is a huge deal for fans of authentic Italian cuisine and artisanal ingredients.
If you’ve ever been to one of Eataly’s sprawling marketplaces on land, you know it’s all about the love of food—think fresh pasta, beautiful cheeses, expertly cured meats, and world-class Italian wines. On World America, Eataly promises the same high-quality experience with the bonus of stunning sea views.
You’ll be able to indulge in a full-service Italian meal, complete with antipasti, pasta, seafood, and decadent desserts— in true Italian fashion. Expect fresh ingredients, regional recipes, and wine pairings that will transport you to Tuscany, even if you’re somewhere between Miami and the Caribbean.

Paxos – A Greek Escape at Sea
If the idea of Greek island vibes and fresh Mediterranean seafood calls your name, then you’ll want to make a reservation at Paxos. This new specialty restaurant is all about classic Greek dishes—from grilled octopus and spanakopita to lemony lamb and crisp village salads.
There’s al fresco seating, live music, and a menu that celebrates the flavors of the Aegean. It’s the perfect place to sip on ouzo or a chilled glass of Assyrtiko while soaking up sea views.
For an even quicker taste of Greece, check out Paxos On The Go, which offers fast and flavorful Greek street food and cocktails along the lively promenade.

Butcher’s Cut – For the Steak Lovers
A returning favorite on many MSC ships, Butcher’s Cut brings the sizzle of an American-style steakhouse to the sea. On World America, you’ll find custom-aged cuts of beef, along with an impressive selection of bold red wines and handcrafted cocktails. Whether you go for a filet mignon or a massive tomahawk ribeye, it’s the place to treat yourself.
Pro tip: save room for the signature chocolate lava cake.

Kaito Sushi & Kaito Teppanyaki – Japanese Dining, Two Ways
Craving something fresh and flavorful? You’ll want to visit both versions of Kaito onboard.
Kaito Sushi offers rolls, nigiri, and sashimi made right in front of you. It’s perfect for a light lunch or dinner with a clean, crisp bite.
For more drama and flair, Kaito Teppanyaki is a must-try. Think fiery hibachi tables, expert chefs flipping knives and cracking jokes while they prepare your steak, seafood, and fried rice right before your eyes. It’s dinner and a show, and always a crowd-pleaser.

Hola! Tacos & Cantina – Latin Flavor Fiesta
Hola, flavor! Hola! Tacos & Cantina is where you’ll find zesty Latin street food like tacos, fajitas, nachos, and more. It’s casual, colorful, and packed with personality.
Pair your tacos with a refreshing margarita or maybe a tequila flight if you’re feeling festive (and you should be—this is vacation, after all).

Luna Park Pizza & Burger – Old-School Diner Vibe
Sometimes you just want a burger and a slice of pizza—and Luna Park Pizza & Burger delivers. This casual grab-and-go eatery brings old-school American diner vibes with a twist of MSC style.
Expect classic cheeseburgers, crispy fries, pepperoni pizza, and even a few surprise treats. It’s the ideal stop when you’re craving comfort food or need a late-night bite after exploring the ship’s entertainment.

Promenade Bites – Snack Attack Central
Need a quick snack? Who doesn’t!. Enter Promenade Bites—a whimsical little walk-up spot offering hot dogs, popcorn, and cotton candy. Whether you’re strolling the World Promenade or need a quick bite between shows, this is the place to grab something quick and fun.
It’s also perfect for keeping the kids happy without committing to a full sit-down meal.
Main Dining Room – Classic Meets Contemporary
Of course, World America wouldn’t be complete without its main dining room, which serves as the hub for traditional cruise dining. You’ll find a rotating menu of international favorites with a heavy Mediterranean influence – after all, MSC still has its roots firmly planted in Italy.
This is included in your cruise fare, making it a go-to for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Il Mercato Buffet – Big Variety, Big Views
Finally, there’s Il Mercato Buffet, your casual, all-you-can-eat option with something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for pasta, salad, stir-fry, or dessert, you’ll find it here—and the floor-to-ceiling windows make it a great place to dine while enjoying the ocean.
As we get closer to embarkation day, I’ll be sharing even more details about this incredible new ship and what it’s like to be among the very first passengers onboard. Make sure to follow along—I’ll be reporting live from the MSC World America starting April 12!
